Take Brigitte! French is hard, but she's the best teacher ive ever had in ANY subject and that says a lot since she only spoke french. Caring helpful and sweet. You MUST be a good student and well behaved tho. hates slackers, LOVES ppl in front

If you are looking to learn a lot about French, then definately take French 1001, you will learn... but whatever you do I advise you to NOT take Mme Delzell. If you don't like to be badgered, harrased, or embarrased then do not take her. TRUST ME!

The class itself is not at all difficult but Madame Delzell sucks. She randomnly calls on students and harasses them until they get the answer right. You can never miss a class - she is really big on participation points.

Delzell is so easy it's funny, and she's very concerned about her students learning the french language. She gets a bad rap, but trust me, if you take her you will learn french (most of her problems are because of the department's regulations)

Mme Delzell is probably one of the hardest french teachers at LSU. But she really has a concern about her student's grades and doing well on tests. She is the best french teacher I have ever had.

She gives a participation grade, and if she doesn't like you, you will struggle. It doesn't matter if you ace the tests. If you don't suck up and do tons of busywork you will struggle to keep an A.

She tries to be nice, but it doesn't work. if she doesn't like you, then you are on her list and don't expect to get off of it unless you turn into a bichon frise (her beloved dog) HARD GRADER.. take someone else.

Delzell really makes it as straight forward as possible but the French department makes alot of things harder than they should be.

I thought Delzell was nice sometimes but overall she just pissed me off. If you didn't know something she asked you, she would say some comment and make you feel like a idiot after.

The department is at fault for this elementary class, but Delzell makes it as enjoyable as possible and has a stronge desire to want you to learn more french. Take her in a second if you can.

I'm really not exaggerating at all. This woman is the reincarnation of satan as a french teacher. I have no earthly clue why anyone would like her. Yes, the french department sucks, but she uses it as a scapegoat for her horrible teaching techniques.

at first i hated her, but she is very caring and helpful, also very organized so if it wasn't for the idiot department it would be easier, she doesn't bend rules so expect her to follow the department strictly, expects much more than the department

I got an A!! with effort! SHE IS HORRIBLE!!! she takes assistance every day and will not accept excuses and will take points off, THERE IS HW every day BE PREPARE! she grades it and is like 2 pages and if you did it wrong she will give you an F!

Delzell is a funny and good teacher. You can tell she really loves her job a lot and is interested in getting her students to understand; although, she can be unfair about grading sometimes and I've heard that other teachers are easier.

Delzell is HARD, she expects you to work hard for your grade, but you really learn french. You have homework everynight and lots of assignments (but this is due to the french dept.) she is willing to help you if you help yourself.
