I actually had MICHEAL TOM. He is AMAZING!!! i absolutely love him. he is a amazing teacher and it was a very easy course.

Cygan is a nice guy, but not the best of teachers. He does problems, but doesn't really explain what he's doing. It's ok if you have taken calculus before, but if not you are in for a rough ride. Go to review sessions!!!!!!!!

Cygan sometimes goes off into his own little math world and writes out his work without explaining himself. Worst math teacher I have taken thus far, a DEF no!

He uses generic variables to teach the problems in class so figuring out how to put numbers in to do problems is kind of hard, but his tests are pretty easy.

Calculus is tough...Cygan was friendly, funny sometimes. He always started out with the concepts and then gave examples. Answers quesitons and goes over homework and is willing to help in his office hours. gave bonus. Pretty good teacher, i'd say.

If you have not taken Calculus before, this teacher might not be what you want. He is not mean, but he expects you to know too much. He only gave bonus on rainy days and the day before Thanksgiving.

I did not take Dr. Cygan for Math 2025, but I just want to let you know about his personality. He's one of those few professors who says gossips to students about other students. He will always make fun of you or anyone else: ha...........ha.......ha

There are some professors from whom I'm willing to take a C. Cygan isn't one of them. Exams often contained 10% questions that we spent little or no class time on, but it's a cakewalk if you've already had Linear Algebra.
