Don't take this class for your sciences unless you REALLY like science!!! This class is quite difficult!

He is not understanding and very mean. His test really does not correlate with his notes, well you have to really break down everything. If you wanna learn about rocks, well take the course.

He's rude. Don't ask him to use blackboard..he'll yell at you. Go to class everyday to get the notes and just memorize, memorize, memorize and you'll get an A

Ajoy Baksi is hard to understand and he is rude and unclear. He tries to trick you on tests. I recommend another teacher.

Class is ok, but teacher uses his test to trick you.... I definitely would not take this teacher unless you have too. Others are much easier

LEARNNN the material, do NOT memorize it if you want to make a good grade. HE WILL TRY TO TRICK YOU!! He's very blunt &rude. take someone else.

incredibly hard to understand cuz of his accent but has all notes on projector if u study his practice exams (HINT; if u ask him on reiview day b4 test he will answer every question) ul get an a i just didnt kno that 4 his 1st test otherwise id got a

Very blunt. Gives a lot of information but if you do the practice tests and make sure you LEARN and not memorize the material, you'll do fine. But I suggest you take someone else.

He's insane... class isn't bad though. Quizzes are lame, tests are like carbon copies of old ones, final was harder than others.

I thought Baksi was awesome, though I'm sure I'm one of the few. His tests are twisted versions of questions from old tests. You don't really need to go to class.

He's gruff towards students, but it's out of frustration with laziness I think. Study, study, study and you will pass. Watch out for tricky questions though!

The only complaint that I really have about this class is that his exams are a bit tricky/require a lot of relative application (compared to, say, some other GEOL 1001 classes perhaps). But this is a basic GEOL class, so its not hard if you try.

He is funny but this class is WAY to hard for a simple science elective....unless you need it for honors DON"T TAKE IT!

Be prepared to take alot of notes, it helped me to read the chapters too, not a bad teacher but not great either

His exams had no way of measuring how much geology you actually do know, as the questions were tricky, and he wasnt clear on what one needed to definitely know.

On tests, the material learned in class is not what is tested; many of the questions are trick questions that don't test your actual knowledge of the subject.
