I took this in Spring 2011 (don't know why that option isn't available on this review form) and made a B. If you were able to pass Statics, you probably will be able to pass this. It definitely is harder than Statics, but the learning curve isn't a steep as Statics. I had Moorthy, who is pretty good, although he doesn't cut much slack for the people who do horribly and don't study or do homework and just expect him to give easy exams or give curves. The exams are fair -- go to class, do the homework, study before the exams, and you'll be okay. You only need the textbook for the homework problems, but you don't need to read it because Moorthy says directly that his methods, and the methods he expects you to use on the exams, are different than what's in the textbook. He assigns homework every single day of class, but you can usually knock it out in an hour or two if you've taken good class notes. Lastly, our class was at 7:30am every MWF, which really sucked, but you still have to go every day if you want to pass.
