First half of the semester is ok as long as you do your homework. Later on Rabalais's time management catches up to him and he doesn't allow enough time to cover the later material. Had to curve the last two tests and final and blamed the class, not himself, when everyone did poorly.

go to class and take notes, the tests are pretty hard but if you study the notes it's not too bad, i think he stopped caring by the time the final rolled around because he gave almost everyone a 95 on the final

Rabalais is a great teacher, explains things very well. This class is a relatively easy A if you put in the work and have taken Physics. Takes off points on tests for small things, so be accurate.

I loved Rabalais teaching style until the middle of the semester. Once you get past the first two chapters, he stops writing notes, and talks directly out of the book. Be prepared to teach yourself for the 2nd half. His grading has improved.

This class is an easy A - provided you attend class regularly and do the homework yourself. Rabalais' sample problems/homework are similar to the exam questions, and he's not out to get you (unlike many other professors).

Sorry,he's the only teacher right now. SI sessions are helpful, but he just acts like a jerk. Even if you have a legitimate reason to miss something, he makes fun of you. Go to class, he gives part. pts, and do hmwk, and you'll pass.Tests are tricky!

The class material is clearly presented and Rab goes into extreme detail and works a lot of examples. The people who have problems with this class clearly didn't go to class. He tells you exactly what will be on the test. You get it right or wrong.

Rabalais seems harmeless enough until you get your first test back. He grades rather ridiculously and goes on and on about his generosity with partial credit when he is the worst in the dept. Avoid him if you can, though you probably can't.

Rabalais is an alright teacher, all he does is teach directly out the book. His exam questions come directly from the homework and the esamples within the chapter. The only problem with him is his grading, he will take off 5 points for sign errors.

I think that Rabalais actually knows what he's talking about, but please take these words of advice. Do your homework yourself. It really helps you to learn the material, and otherwise you are bound to get lost near the end like I did.

Very interesting class if the material was presented in a more interesting fassion. Rabilais is not as bad as some would say. Major recommendation, get copies of all of his old tests, final comes directly from them.
