KENNEDY J (ENGL)

His complaining about no one having questions about all his boring slave narratives is really annoying. He is extra condescending about everything and the only good thing about the class is that my TA cared even less than I did and I got an A for it.

This class would probably be easy for an english major. Personally, I thought the readings were difficult to understand and they were super long. Instructor has high&mighty attitude and expects everyone to be able to write an A+ paper. But he grades hard. Be ready to dedicate time to this class. Boring class, but not impossible to pass.

Wonderful instructor who is very passionate about the subject he teaches. The course requires a medium to high amount of reading, but the content is pretty interesting. Midterm and final are very easy, and the two papers are simple as well. If you do take his course, MAKE SURE you get into his discussion section, as he actually encourages ideas. The TAs are a nightmare, and they interpret the work for you, instead of allowing you to make your own arguments on writing assignments.

LOTS of reading, tons of authors. midterm and final have a 20 point curve. papers are long, and kennedy is cocky. not very interesting and this is my major

Kennedy gives daily reading quizes. His lectures are very informative, almost too informative. Very straightofrward class. 3 essays, 2 exams, which require minimal time.

He's a GREAT teacher. You can tell he really knows his stuff. His tests are kind of tricky, but he is great.

Dr. Kennedy is a WONDERFUL professor; he's so interesting! The tests are somewhat long, but very straight-forward. You'll have to come to class, but I loved his lectures. His class confirmed my decision to change my major to English.

Kennedy loves what he teaches and it shows. If you want a break up of harder classes you'll enjoy listening to him and reading amazing authors. Be prepared to read though.

This class is very time consuming; you have to keep up with the reading because he gives daily quizzes. Overall, if you do the work and pay attention in class you will do fine. Kennedy is a wonderful teacher and knows his stuff!

interetsing material/stories. a one question quiz about the reading every class. teacher assistants suck. they grade your exams and papers. alot of time outside the class reading.

I got an A in this class only because I'm an english minor and I have a general interest in the information and I'm able to BS well. However, the way this class was structured does a dis-service to literature appreciation & even made me hate it!

Most everything was graded by the TA's. All Kennedy did was lecture and make tests, so I can't really review him that well. He was very nice though, very into the subject material and always answers questions, very boring though. 3 essays.

The class was pretty interesting and Kenndy was very interesting! Lectures were not bad at all!
