BOYD J (FIN)

This class was extremely easy, and professor Boyd was very cool. I enjoyed the information taught in the class as it relates to the real world, and I enjoyed that Boyd made it easy. Although it is a three hour class, he usually keeps you for about an hour and a half. You don't even have to take notes- he gives them to you. Just study the night before for the multiple choice questions on the exam, but be sure you take them seriously because each test counts for 50% of your final grade.

bad attitude. but curves a lot. i failed the final and still got an A.

EZ class and you only have to go to grab the note packets. All tests from notes and very little studying needed.

EASY! Go to class, get the notes, read them for the 2 tests.knows this is a blow off class and he doesn't try to change that.Never kept for the 3 hrs.Kind of a jerk during the in class cases though.Don't speak up unless you're prepared!

Very easy teacher and a very useful class. You will learn a ton about the insurance industry. Never keeps you long and gives you a packet of notes for each class. Read through notes twice for an A.

easy class! straightforward teacher! he will never keep you in class more than 1 hour for a 3 hr class. Only 2 exams, and u really need to stydy hard to get an A

Very easy going guy... does not try and go as in depth on the material as other professors, just keeps it to the real important points. He also gives a huge curve.

Good teacher

Boyd gives note sets that are basically exactly whats on the test. Does not teach you how to use fin. calculator. That is the only hard thing about class.

I hated this class. I'm not remotely interested in finance so this sucked... Boyd likes to go off on tangents and keep you in class longer than necessary and I didn't understand a thing from how he taught! I had to teach myself.

Nice guy, great class, kinda boring material. No text required, he gives lecture notes, doesn't keep you the whole class, two 50 question m/c exams, pretty easy.

One of the best professors and courses around

If you are an accounting major and have taken intermediate accting this class is for you, Boyd really doesn't teach that much, he is a history buff and will give you the back ground on every event. Night class never stays for 3 hours (only positive)

This is no easy A so be prepare to study and hard because the final is cumulative, This class is require to graduate and is very hard. Take another teacher who goes deep in the material because basically you have to teach yourself here :(

Super easy elective. Only two exams which come straight from the notes. I spent about an hour in preparation for each test and made an A in the course. Boyd only keeps class for an hour or less for a 3 hour class.

While Boyd may come across as tough sometimes, his exams are pretty easy and require little time outside of class. He hands out the notes, works some problems and usually lets class out really early.

This is the greatest class that I've taken in the business college. No homework, he gives you the notes, and you learn something. Tests are extremely easy

Easy class. This is a straight lecture and exam class. No homework or group projects of any kind. His exams are easy too. Take him if you need a business elective!
