SUTHERLAND G (REL)

Dr. Sutherland was a great professor, and the class was extremely interesting. The problem I had was that her area of study seemed to be Hinduism, and she spent half the semester talking about that, and it was all that was on the first exam, but then the rest of the semester included Buddhism and more localized asian religions, but they were flown by so fast I hardly learned anything. Then when the final exam came around it was on such a variety of religions that had little influence on each other that it was very difficult to study for. But I did learn a LOT about hinduism.

This class is very hard, there are many terms to memorize and they are impossible to pronounce which makes things harder, Class is boring and tedious, & u must attend to make a good grade, lose ton of pts for missing, Do Not Take Sutherland

The teacher was nice and very willing to help, but the material was boring

the teacher is ok, but the material is difficult, it's like learning another language because of all the buddhist, hindu, etc. terminology

This class doesn't require much, except for reading a few easy-to-understand books. This isn't a class you can skip, because the notes aren't put online, and she has surprise roll calls that are part of your grade.

Loved this class and Mrs. Sutherland. Don't expect an easy A, but this class is def worth taking. You don't have to be a Religious Studies major to make an A, I'm not!

Requires a fair amount of work to get a good grade, but well worth it!

not an easy class... have to put a lot of time and effort into it but its very interesting and worth taking... Sutherland is a great teacher and really knows what she's talking about... also very nice and has time for her students...
