GROS B (PSYC)

Fabulous class. Dr. Gros is a practicing psychologist who adds great insight into abnormal behavior. He is informative, entertaining, and funny. One of my all-time favorite profs. I do disagree, at least in part, with the previous review that stated he keep you 2.5 to 3 hours. If you recall, that reviewer stated he/she rarely went to class. Gros typically kept the class 2 hours and 10 minutes give or take a few. He may go a bit longer the week before the test in order to cover all material. This class is definitely worth it.

Don't need a book, just used the powerpoints that he put on Moodle. Rarely went to class because it was at night. Even though he says he won't keep you the whole three hours, he usually did keep talking for 2.5-3 hours. Very funny though and the tests are easy if you study his notes

Gros is the best teacher I've probly ever had. He's very passionate about the subject, has REAL hands on experience with the matter, and easily relates the material to the students. His notes are on noteswap. He gives a study guide. Theres no attendance required. And he offers bonus. Theres no reason not to take this class. I got a 95

Seriously the best professor that I have had at LSU. He makes his class interesting and you always get out early. If you have to take abnormal psyc take Gros, without a doubt!

Gros is great. He is entertaining, and his lectures are interesting and informative. He is straight forward about the material you will be tested on and does not make you memorize random information you will soon forget. His tests are straightforward and mostly straight from the powerpoint he posts online. Also, if you use noteswap, there are several files of his notes from previous semesters. No quizzes, no attendance... Easy A even without attending class. The only grades are three noncumulative tests.

Gros is really nice (you can actually e-mail him with specific questions about the test and he'll respond with really detailed answers). if you go to class and just slightly pay attention, the tests are really easy. Or you could never go to class and just read the book. He also gives study guides that help. Usually get out about an hour early as well. So, overall, fairly interesting, pretty easy class with a super nice teacher.

Dr. Gros made this class really interesting, he made me want to go and pay attention! If you go to class he gives bonus points that definetly help in the end if you make a silly mistake on the tests! I don't think we ever stayed the whole time and he made the subject material very approachable and most of the times he had a funny story. It seems like he is really passionate about psychology and loves what he does. I had a great semester with him and it was a great night class!

Loved this class! I learned A LOT and it wasn't overwhelmingly difficult. Dr. Gros had a great sense of humor and kept it interesting.

Bryan is adorable and fun to listen to. He actually practices psychology, so he knows what he's talking about and has lots of interesting stories. If you go to class and take notes (I recommend taking them underneath the slides, because he posts them) and study the night before, you should be fine. DO THE STUDY GUIDES. Don't bother buying the book.

VERY INTERESTING CLASS!! Gros is soooo funny and entertaining. He really knows this subject well and does a good job at presenting it. I took this as a night class and i actually looked forward to going (He usually lets you out early)!

Most interesting psyc class i've taken at lsu, it was a night class and i actually wanted to go each week. Pretty easy A, study night or 2 before test. Gros has great personality- had us laughing a lot!

Gros is funny and intelligent. The material is very interesting, so the night class doesn't seem to take too long. Tests are very straightforward. Definitely pay attention to his studyguides.

The class was very interesting and Dr. Gros was a great teacher and he made the class interesting. The tests were kind of hard but if you study, you'll do ok.

Awesome class!! Dr. Gros has interesting stories and makes a 3 hour class seem shorter. Also, we never stayed in there much more than 2 hours.

Gros is great! Psyc 3082 is so much fun, especially with Gros. He tells stories that really make the class one you will want to go to. Guareenteed A if you go to class. There is bonus. Take this class as an elective!

very interesting class and great instruction. Gros' sense of humor lightened up the 3 hour night class. His tests arent bad but a detailed study guide is given which makes it a whole lot better.

Dr. Gros is a good teacher and is very interesting. His tests can be tricky, so you must know the material perfectly.He's a little scatter brained sometimes so it's hard to take notes.

He's really nice, makes the class laugh, and keeps attention. He has a great personality and reminds me of Mel Gibson for some reason...
