Most likely, if you're taking the class, it's required. Harms is a very good teacher, but the classes are huge and difficult to focus in.

Biol 1202 is a lot of stuff that will NOT interest you at all. However, Dr. Harms made it pretty easy. Tests were 40 multiple choice in the computer lab and all came DIRECTLY from the notes he posts on the internet.

Harms is so easy. Just study the notes he gives you a few days before the test and you will do awesome. His tests are easy!

Harms is QUIET. Sit in the front. You can make an A without reading the book or going to class as long as you know EVERY and i mean EVERY detail of the notes! also very willing to work with you.

Harms is by far the best teacher for BIOL1202. I only went to the first class and then just studied his online notes for the test and the lowest i got on 1 was a 90. He adjusts the the grading sccale at the end, for us an 88 wa an A, Also no hw/quize

With professor Harms, you dont have to go class at all. He gives you notes over the internet and doesn't elaborate any on them in class. Get the notes and study hard for a three or four days before the test, and you'll do fine.

Great guy, really smart! I would definately reccomend him, it's a really easy class and he is soooo nice! definately take Harms!

Terrible Teacher - Gave NO bonus points and did NOT curve a single test. Tries to be nice, but screws you in the end. Try your chances with another teacher!!

This class was just hard. Harms is a nice guy and not a hard teacher...but theres so much material. Stay on top of the lectures! Once you get behind its all downhill from there!

Dr. Harms is a nice guy. His quizzes were tough at the beginning, but near the end of the course, all quizzes were open notes, so it wasn't bad.

I absolutely love Dr. Harms! He is so sincere and helpful if you need him. Intro Biology is a killer, but Harms tries to take it easy on his students. Study the notes, listen in class, and you won't even have to touch your book. =)

Some chapters are interesting. Harms is a real nice guy, but he is so boring. He gives you printed notes, but that does not mean you should not study.

Harms is by far the best bio instructor!He wants so badly for his students to get A's and gives several chances for bonus points and curves.You do have to study but that's in every bio class.Take him he's nicest and easiest.

He can come off as somewhat of a dork, but that's the best thing about him .. he's so amiable and into the material and cares about the subject and especially his students so much

Harms is a very nice man. He gives outlines of the notes every class plus an exam study guide at the end of the semester. I'd recommend taking him.
