Great guy great teacher very laid back atmosphere. Not as much philosophy as you'd expect but main points are hit. Tests really easy, if not he'll curve. Cares a lot about students.

Great teacher and a great class. Lectures spend maybe a third of the time on philosophy, the other 2/3 on music or wrestling. He provides outlines for the tests, and there's barely any reading outside class. Take this class in a heartbeat.

pretty easy; he posts his notes on his website; use the test help as a study tool and you'll get an A; one paper, and it was in place of a 2 hour final

Cogburn is a decent guy, but VERY liberal and not a great teacher. Tests were easy, but classes were boring. I seriously learned more about wrestling than philosophy in this class.

this man is awesome! he is incredibly cool and down to earth..He always sees the best in each of his students. The tests were straight memorization of the online notes so i didnt really go to class but when i did, he made it great

Cogburn was nice, a bit messy and unorganized, but understanding. Had us use PC programs instead of longhand, made it harder for me. Took FOREVER. Textbook SUCKED. Had to buy a new one for PC prog. to work, and didn't explain concepts at ALL.

Cogburn is a cool guy who will give you an "A" if you go to class and participate. Otherwise, he's not the best teacher and if you're looking to learn a lot about philosophy this class really isn't the one to take.
