Marc Sanders is a good teacher; he cares about his students and is willing to help you. There is a lot of class discussion and a lot of writing plus one big paper at the end on a play of your choice in the text. not hard class, a lot or reading.

Great attitude...I strongly recommend taking him....make sure you go to class and do all inclass assignments because he doesn't like it when people slack off really bad

A lot of reading (but it is a literature class so it is expected), quizes are given once a week on material read outside of class, quizes are not easy, mostly long thoughout questions. There is a huge research paper due towards the end.

Do not think that he is objective for a second. He doesnt approve of the psychological critical analysis technique or use of literary strategies that go outside of the formalist approach. This class will only waste your time not educate you.

I'm a science major, but I enjoyed this class very much. Marc was a great teacher and person, and his class was always intellectually stimulating as well as fun. I would definitely recommend this class and instructor!

Marc is a funny guy and makes class fun. Lots of reading, but it is a fiction class so it's expected. Have to go to class b/c of quizzes, good class overall though.

Sanders is a hippe redneck. Those two extremes made my head explode one day. There are now pieces of my brain on the first floor of Allen hall.

Cool teacher and great books. He offers his insight on the story and then allows you to add your views. He understands that not everyone will have the same opinion or even understand the story.

GREAT TEACHER...I tend to miss other classes but I NEVER MISSED HIS class. He's alot of fun, cool, laid back, and cares about his students. He is easy yet can be challenging. He lets you know everything you need to know.

Marc is a liberal...he doesn't believe in objectivity. He has done nothing with his life and is proud of it. You will hate this boring class.

I hate English, but this class was awesome. Mr. Sanders makes it all so interesting, but you have to be willing to read the stories and books so you can discuss.

Mr. Sanders is a great teacher. He's a hippie and picks really cool books to read. Be prepared to talk in class. He really just wants to know that you care and you are making an effort. If you show him that, you will do fine.
