Snipes is awesome. A paper or more every week but it's not too bad. Wikipedia for People. Little actual media writing but gives you practice in AP style and gets you used to format of leads & news stories. BUT he's leaving :(

Snipes is great- funny and cares. Seems like a lot, but its not bad. You have to write a weekly paper but it gets easy and doesnt count for much. People/words on noteswap. Not much actual media writing. Definitely expands knowledge! TAKE SNIPES!!

If you can take the honors course, it's not too bad. Snipes is an excellent teacher and can be pretty funny in the class.

Snipes was very educated, interesting and teaches students how to write. He cares and wants to see them do well. It's harder if you are a Conservative/Christian or PR/afv. major. Beware of Exams cause you can get screwed over easily!!!

take the AP style seriously and you will do fine. snipes requires more work, but grades easy as long as you follow the style book. he is wonderfully entertaining, and easy to meet with out of class. he is very upfront about expectations

I LOVED DR. SNIPES!! He is hilarious and always has an interesting story to tell. Some of the assignments are difficult and the grading scale is really tough, but if you learn what he wants in a paper early in the semester, you'll get an A.

Snipes is amazing, funny, caring, and intelligent. Take him if you can! This class requires lots of work. If you aren't a serious MC major, don't take Snipes, because he takes journalism seriously. Loves print journalism majors.

The class is pretty basic. You basically learn AP style and write news stories. If you study, it's pretty easy to make an A. Dr Snipes is fun and obviously had a lot of experience as a journalist. He doesn't really respect PR majors, though.

You have to write a small paragraph for class each day and there are usually in-class assignments so it's impossible to skip but the class overall if fun and not too dificult.

Snipes has a lot of experience, which you will hear about in excess, and he does a decent job peddling information to you. He is however extremely belittling, condescending and pretentious. I found him to be overrated.

Larry Snipes LOVES to hear himself talk. He repeats his stupid stories every week as he collects the daily assignments that are pointless. He thinks that just because he lived in LA he is so cool, but he is really just an old, repetitive man!

Professor Snipes is probably my favorite teacher I've had at LSU. Funny as anything and has so much experience. This guy knows what he's talking about. Interesting class too. Take the honors version, only difference from 2010 is a research paper

MC 2000 was a very interesting subject, but it was hard to go to class sometimes because Snipes talked a lot about irrelevant things...He talked about working at the L.A. Times more than anything else.
