If possible, take someone else his grading system is hard. If you take this class don't expect an A unless you are a GREAT writer.

He's nice, funny, and laid back. It's impossible to make an A unless you are a GREAT writer, but making a B is easy.

Mr. Riley is a great teacher with quite a lot of interesting paper topics to write about. He can be hard on grading a paper, but it is easy to learn from your mistakes. By the end of the year you have learned quite a lot about your writing skills.

the class is great, but he knows how to stick it to you when it comes to grading; there are a lot of better teachers out there... take someone else

I loved this class and this prof is great. The class is a lot of reading, but he makes the class really think about it and that makes it fun. Great Prof!!!

Riley was a good teacher; he graded hard, but it will help when taking higher courses

Some of his criticism on essays are harsh, but helpful. He will prepare you well for other classes that require you to write essays.

Mr. Riley is a good teacher in that he likes to help each one of his students individually. He grades like: C is you did everything you were suppose to. B is a good paper that is well organized and interesting. A is an insperational paper.

He is a pretty funny guy. His lectures and assignments mostly deal with current events in popular culture. This isnt your average boring english class.

he is intresting, and the class isn't hard, but all it is is writing essays, so if you don;t like to write then don't take this class
