Class teaches you a lot of important basics, and Dr. Comeaux definitely made it fun to learn. If just pay attention to the lecture and study the expectations then you'll get an A, promise! Hint: Tape record the lecutres if you day dream like me.

It's a really easy A if you go to study and just write whatever he talks about. If you're here to learn biology, or intuitively apply concepts, or read the book, you won't find it here. Just makes it so you have to know class stuff to get by.

computer based tests, so questions seem like they are out of no where; stuff on tests that isn't on his "expectations"; best way to get by is to get a group pool your pretest questions together, many which appear on real test

Class is interesting, but time-consuming. You really have to focus on the first few tests, because the final will come back and bite you. If you do well at first, you will be fine in the end. Don't slack!

Comeaux does give you pretests and "expectations" AKA outlines, do the expectations, read your book, and you will do well. He does study groups, but the bad part about this class is he does'nt post his class slideshows.

If you like Biology then you will be okay but if you don't then this class will be so damn hard to get a decent grade in i.e. a B. If you want an A then you need to keep up with him on the Chp which is hard if you just don't give a damn about Biology

Dr. Jay is a good teacher. I made the mistake of skipping class a lot, so I busted my butt for an A. Go to class and try to keep up with his "expectations" as much as possible, and you'll do fine. But you HAVE to go to class.

I took bio AP in high school and i think i learned a lot more there than here. Attended a few lectures but they felt redundant and elementary. He's a great guy though and very caring. Heard he's a lot better in 1202.

I had Dr. Jay for 1201, and he was a million times harder then he is in 1002. He knows biology isn't any of our majors, so his class is super easy. But make sure you go to class because his tests are strait from the notes- I didn't even buy a book!

I heard that thompson was easier. J wasnt impossible, but in order to make an A on the test you must learn the "expectations" and the notes front and back, and even then he may throw in a few ambiguous questions. Take him if you must.

He was a funny guy, but a lot of the time what was in his lecture really didn't match the test. I understand testing for concept but his tests were just a bit over the top. Ever test required a curve, since the class average tended to be a 50-65%
