James Taylor was a well organized, brilliant teacher. His lectures were clear, interesting, and sometimes even humerous. And there was much teacher - class discussion.

Though the topics are interesting, the class is pretty difficult. Taylor is a great teacher though and makes it easier. papers are required and are long, but do-able.

Dr. Taylor can come off as a jerk, because he won't tell you what he feels. He gives you all the arguments and lets you make up your mind. Make sure you can argue for your point on the papers. Lots of class discussion. GREAT CLASS for Pre-Med.

James Stacey Taylor is VERY interesting, entertaining & open-minded. He is very influential and thought-provoking, but be prepared for a difficult class. Some outside reading required, 3 papers (re-writeable) & 2 tests for the entire semester.

This is a great class that is very relevant to the world today. Dr.Taylor keeps things interesting and humorous. Grading scale a bit vague, graded material is basically quizzes and papers. A class which will challenge how you think about things.

He's a great guy, pretty funny as a teacher. As boring as the material may seem, he tries to keep it intereting. The only problem I had is that he rarely tests, when he does, they are huge and pretty hard. The papers (4) aren't too bad.
