roider is the man!!! he knows history TO MUCH and loves it and makes it interesting his test arnt that bad the identies can be trick but read ur notes and u should be fine the first test hits u hard but get easier and easier cuz there set up the same

He's an amazing teacher ,but his test are hard, They have 6 questions. You have to go to class everyday becuase he doesn't use a book. He does post his power points online. You have to read a boring book for each test. He's my favorite teacher!!!

He requires 5 books to read...unless you LOVE history and want to learn a million dates, dont take this class!!!!

Dr. Roider is one of the best professors I've had at LSU! He made me interested in History and want to learn more about it. Lectures are outlined but, the only setback is his tests can be tricky;if you really want to learn history- take him!

Roider is the best history teacher at LSU hands down! test can be difficult and the final is cummulative!

its a lot of reading and half of the test is a guess of what it will be and the other half are essays

Roider is a great instuctor that knows exactly what he is teaching. My only complaint is that his exams test to see if you studied, not if you know the material.

Roider didn't know what he was talking about most of the time. He graded fair, but he had an assistant that graded half of the tests and he was much more strict and anal. All essay tests. You have to read 4 books for this class.

Dr Roider is the best! He makes me want to learn, and isnt that the point of school? He's so friendly and enthusiastic about what he does and he made the class my favorite! Plan to study though. His tests can be hard.

Dr. Roider was great, the class was so interesting and he posts his notes for you. You still have to go to class, but it is a really good class and he is really interesting.

He is a wonderful teacher and very understanding, he allowed me to reschedule one makeup exam like 3 times when I was sick, he also drops a test

This class was way to hard for a 1001 class. I spend a lot of time studying for the exams in which he asks 10 identifies out of a possible 100-150. He also grades very hard. But to be fair class is interesting and he has a good teaching style.

had very random questions and was very critical on essays. i tried my best in this class and only made a C. I'm a 3.6 student but this ruined the trusty transcript.

I have never met anyone who seemed so enthusiastic about teaching. I hate history ,but his excitement for the subject made the class interesting. I would recommend this class to anyone!

You will love his laugh and enthusiasm for history more than the class itself. He teachers ninety nine times what is on the test and I swear it will be the sections that even if you have studied for days there is something new on test.
