MCNEIL P (SPAN)

McNeil is great. She speaks mostly in English and is very encouraging. However, as with all foreign language... you must attend class. Attendance is a big part of your grade. Quia is another large part. Make sure to actually do the HW and attempt it wholeheartedly... it is due so often it is hard to take it seriously as a part of your grade but is worth too much to blow off or half way do at the last minute like i did; Quia cost me an 89.6 B. Seriously. But, if you have to have the course, take McNeil, she is awesome.

Follows 1101, very intro Spanish. Had no spanish background and made A's in both 1101 and 1102. McNeil usually has TA's teach classes, I had Madeline Boudreaux. AWESOME teacher, very engaging and understanding. Almost nightly homework does suck though, but overall easy A with little time put in. Any previous Spanish is REALLY easy A.

Homework due almost every night, though it is simple. McNeil is not the teacher, rather you get stuck with one of her TA's. I had Bobbi Adams, fresh out of college, and was very disappointed. Still, only made a B because forgot too much homework.

Ms. McNeil is very nice, and she is willing to help her students and wants them to do well.

Ms. McNeil genuinely cares about her students, but don't expect any leeway if you don't participate in class. It's a required foreign language class and she made it bearable.

Sra. McNeil used extra materials to help her students learn. Students who put in the time were well prepared for test-its like Math you have to do extra work outside class to understand it.

I took SR. NAVE!!! He's a Grad Student and he's SO FUN & FAIR. He made Spanish my favorite class. We Laughed More than work, BUT them Department Test reminded us to work, so take studying seriously. But you'll love Sr. Nave, He'll become your FRIEND!

the class isn't bad. go to class and pay attention and it is easy. ms. mcneil is a great teacher and is so willing to help with anything.

AWESOME TEACHER! She is a huge asset to the spanish dept at LSU. She truly cares about her students learning the material. Definitely take her for spanish!

I hate Spanish, but McNeil teaches alright; she picks favorites and doesn't really care if you fail or not

McNeil is a good teacher. She tries to help anyway she can. She puts a lot of exercises up on semester book to help the students. It's pretty much up to the student to determine how well they come out of it.

Awesome teacher... I loved her. She is laid back and fun but does require studying for test and quizs.

McNeil is an Awesome Professor, she does take off for bad grammar (por and para), but it is not that bad. You should definitely take McNeil for any Spanish class she is teaching. tih

Not easy to talk to, grades WAYYYYYYY to hard, and doesnt give any extra credit and picks favorites.

Some aspects in this class will kick you in the gluteus maximus. But if you must take this class I would take it with McNeil. She speaks English unlike some of the other Spanish profesors who don't speak any English.

She is a great teacher! I would definitely recommend her as a teacher; she was clear and concise and made the class fun with her great personality. She makes an effort to learn everyone's name.

She was very pleasant. She grades kinda hard though. My advice is to go to class as often as possible.
