Sutcliffe is actually quite concerned about his students. I had a problem and he totally helped me out. As for his class I would not recommend it even though he is a pretty nice guy.

Sutcliffe was a good teacher but DEFINITELY go to class. He gives portfolio work for a big grade so you have to go to class to take notes. Always willing to help, so go to his office hours with a draft before essays are due.

Sutcliffe has a wierd sense of humor that takes some getting used to, but overall hes a good teacher.

This class is soooo boring. His tests are really hard and don't make any sense. If you have the chance to take another teacher, do it fast.

prof. sutcliffe was awesome, a little strange, but i really couldn't have imagined an easier english class. he was very flexible with deadlines and always available to help you.

Run away now...do not take him! I was three hundreths of a point away from an A and he would not give it to me. I went to class everyday & to his office hours. He is extremely vague and figuring out how to write 4 him is like a guessing game! UHHH!

Know how to write a paper before you get there. He is a fair, average teacher, but he is not going to transform you into a great writer.
