Unlike stats, this class was great. He was pretty fast with notes so it was hard sometimes to write everything, but the material was interesting.

He tended to repeat the simple things over and over until it meant nothing to me! I did all of my studying outside of class (the book really helped). It was way dumbed-down, which made it boring, which made it hard! Go figure.

I'm a good student, but was severly inabled by complete and absolute boredom because Prestholdt repeats him self over and over and will make you wanna sleep through his class! Dont take him if you have to take 2011

Hard class, but psych majors have to take it. His grading scale is weird. He's probably one of the better stat teachers though.

ugggh. i took him for a night class. it was hell. he was a pretty good teacher, but 2 and a 1/2 hours is not fun in any class. his tests aren't so bad, but the grading scale sucks. if you can, find another teacher.

Mr. Prestholdt is a very nice easygoing guy. His tests are reference based and not too hard. His system actually helped my grade rather than hurt it. I was 1 point away from an A though and I still didn't get an A, though.

Believe every word Prestholdt says in the semester's first lecture. Your grade can move up/down w/o your control as he uses relative grading system. Don't slack for final! Read text; learn examples from class. Good idea to see exmpls in old notes

hes a good teacher but his way of grading screws with everyones grades, ive never made a c in a psyc course! interesting subject just grading problem.

Dr. Prestholdt is a good teacher. However, he had a crazy grading scale: top 25% of students get As and so on. But it is an interesting class and not too difficult.

he is nice, although i was one point away from an A and he didnt give it too me, the class is interesting. i would recommend him.

Prestholdt gives a bad first impression, but STICK with the class, because it is informative and awesome. a few words of advice study lectures and the whole book.

Dr. Prestholdt's grading system is really cracked out...he makes you compete against everybody else in the class. The first 20% get A's, the second 20%get B's, and so on. The material was interesting, but the grading system sucks.

Prestholdt made it really interesting but his grading scale is weird. No matter what your actual grade is the top 25% get A's, next 25% get B's and so on. You always had to compete to make a good grade. Interesting class otherwise

you must go to every class and read every chapter. (not normal for a 2000 level psyc.)

Prestholdt was a good teacher, and the course was very interesting. The only controversial issue is the grading system--it makes everyone comptetive, which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but it also makes it very hard to make an A in the class.

really interesting material! he doesnt go by the usual "90-100 is an A" stuff, he takes everyones grades and then splits them up. the 1st 20% are A's, next 20% B's, and so on.

THIS CLASS WAS VERY INTERESTING...BUT HIS GRADING WAS ABSURD..HE WAS UNFAIR AND TURNED THE STUDENTS AGAINST EACH OTHER..IF YOUR CLASSMATE DID WELL THAT MADE YOUR GRADE GO DOWN...DONT TAKE THIS GUY!!!

This guy is terrible! The grading scale is is based on your percentage in the class, this means that he gives VERY hard tests and you have to try to get better than the rest of the class. You have to study WAY too much---should have gotten an A but C

the material can be really interesting sometimes...Prestholdt can be boring at times but can make the class laugh at others...the tests are ok but you have to read the chapters
