Roy is very passionate about what he's teaching. The tests really don't have that much to do with personal opinion. They're more about understanding other perspectives than arguing for your own. He's a nice guy, and I enjoyed his class.

Dr. Roy is very liberal and very opinionated, and you better agree with him when you write your test answers or you will get marked wrong. You learn a lot of good information in this class, but I wouldn't recommend Dr. Roy if you are conservative.

don't take Roy...doesnt care about students and he makes no sense in class and he does not respond to emails. I emailed him 4 times and never got a response and he did not grade 3 of my assignments becase he ran out of time, cost me a letter grade

Dr. Roy is not that great of a teacher! He is hard to understand and the readings for this class are confusing. You basically stay lost the whole class.

this class is weird!! have essay type midterm and final all on the readings which covers like 4 books. people that came to every class and read every page still got f's on the midterm. never know what your grade is..unless required, dont take!!!!
