Simpson is a jerk. I had a B going into the final and ended up with a C because I failed the final...just like everyone else in my class. Be prepared to study your butt off for this class. Don't take it unless you have to.

Dr. Simpson is an excellent teacher, she is very helpful and actually cares about her students. This class is very interesting and is definately worth taking!

Dr. Simpson was not a very effective teacher. She was very strict and rigid as far as tests go. You have to go to every class in order to do somewhat decent in this class. Be prepared for your essays to be ripped apart.

The testing and grading for this class was terrible, and the acquired knowledge was not properly tested on the exams. 40% of our final grade came from a 75 page book that we only spent a half a class discussing...a little ridiculous!!

History you learned in high school. If you use her study guides before test, you should have no problem passing her class. Class grading based on two 40 point quizzes, one 100 point midterm and a 120 point final.

Tiwanna Simpson is a great 2055 teacher! She cares about helping you bump your grade up (attendence=extra credit) and she curves. She really wants your input. The course is very dry, but she tries to lighten it up. Great teacher

Simpson was very helpful, she puts outlines on blackboard and only the midterm and final are essay..the other tests are mul. choice. she gave us a study guide before the tests. i would def. recommend her.

Dr. Simpson is the worst history teacher I have had so far. She is not organized, doesn't really seem to know the information. I hated the class, and I'm a history major. Quizzes are tricky but essay test are essay.

she tends to emphasize on women and slaves, make sure you take notes...she gives test questions out before the tests, so its easier to study, she didnt try to make the material interesting and it was hard to stay awake in class

The subject matter is really interesting, but Simpsom is monotoned and uses boring illustrations and videos. She doesn't focus on important historic events. She focuses on the ordinary people of the time period.

Good lectures and lots of help is offered for the exams; only drawback is that the exams are all essay, but you always know what to expect on the tests.
