Spence is mad at the world. He doesn't grade fairly and never lets you know what he expects on an assingment. Tests were rediculously long and tricky. He once bragged that there were only 2 or 3 A's out of his students.

Dr. Spence can seem a bit standoffish in class, but that's because he's forcing you to make a sound argument for your position. Don't take this class if you don't like having to cogently back up your views.
