Some people don't care for his teaching style. Very hands off, a little distant. Basically just expects you to act like a college student.

Jorn is a really cool guy, very relaxed atmosphere. All you have to do to get an A in this class is listen to what he says, and read the material twice, his tests are essay and they are so easy...I only went to class on test days and i got an A...

There is only 3 things Jorn cares about, Beer, Philosophy and Jazz Fest. If you HAVE to take Philosophy, take him...oh and you can skip class and just read the articles.

Not a bad teacher but classes are too boring. But you can do well without attending classes. Grader is really good. Overall Sonderholm in a good teacher i would say

Don't take this class if you're not interested in philosophy. I thought it would be a blow off class and was wrong. Jorn is so rude and does not care about helping you at all. He doesn't even gives notes, just lectures.

I was disappointed. This class wasn't at all what I was expecting. The readings were dull, the class was even duller. Attendance is not necessary to get a good grade in this class. Just do the readings and you're set.

His lectures do not contain anything additional to the required readings and attendance isn't necessary at all. Read the material, don't go to class, and you can earn an A, too.
