This class will be your life...If you're looking for a teacher from this country that you can understand then take Svaboda but if not then there are better teachers.

Svoboda is an excellent professor, take him if you have the chance. Quizzes come straight from homework assignments, and tests won't present any surprises if you understand the homework, concept questions, and sample problems in the text.

A great class with a great teacher. Too bad the departmental tests were not easy and sometimes covered unemphasized material.

Svoboda was a horrible teacher, but probably not any worse than any other phys teacher at LSU. He never explained and was bad about expecting people to know things nobody knows

Svoboda is a decent teacher weekly quizzes and homeworks make up for the really hard group tests

definitely a tough class if you won't work for a good grade, good prof. but set on his own path and won't stray, common sense is the key factor (and good notes)
