Jacobs is a horrible teacher!! Stay away from this class!! She grades based on what she thinks of you, not what you write!

The class was easy. You had to only write 3 papers and have all sememster to do them. She is nice, but tends to plays favorites, so get on her good side. She is fair when grading though.

Take the service-learning option!!!! You will almost defintely get an A (she favors Service-learning students ALOT) and it is also a great expierence.

This class has been an expeirence from hell. Jacobs is racist and she doesn't give a crap about her students. She is always assigning papers and throwing random things at you. More than half of my class dropped her. She's a horrible teacher. RUN!

This is the WORST teacher I have ever come across! She is COMPLETELY unfair and extremely ignorant. She doesnt even read the hundreds of papers that she assigns you and grades solely on what she thinks of you. STAY AWAY FROM HER!!

I dropped this class after a few weeks. I've never felt so singles out and humiliated ever. The only thing I liked was the service learning portion.

Mrs.Denise is a good teacher- I was not expecting a course on Gay and Lesbian literature but she made it interesting and fun- get on her good side early and always go to class and youll do fine

I found it inapporate for her to discuss her personal sexuality in the class, and I don't think that such a large section of the course should be devoted to gay literature in a womens lit class. But some of the books were good.

STAY AWAY! Harsh grading, no one was ever right. She thought she was superior to her students. Rude and very fickle. Would give you feedback on a paper, and when you turned it in she said that what she told you to change was wrong!?!?

There is one thing I was passionate about in this class and that was my hate and disgust for Ms. Jacobs. I absolutely dreaded going to this hellhole better known as "class". It was PURE AGONY!

Whatever you do, drop Denise Jacobs class immediately. She is unfair on grading and there is NO PLEASING her, no matter how many times you re-vise. She hates her students, tries and gets more people to drop and is CREUL AND MEAN. I hate her so much.
