Avoid any organic with mclaughlin! He doesnt' care about his students or if you understand the material. He was rude and unapproachable during his office hours. I worked extremely hard for an A in this class and basically, taught myself!

Definitely recommend this class to those who have to take Organic. You have 6 tests, which gives you more opportunity to impove. You also get study guides before the tests which are a huge help. Still requires lots of outside studying.

McLaughlin is not a great teacher, but his tests come straight from the pre-tests

truly Chem. it's not easy. I did most of the study on my own b/c the instructor is not understood very well.

He gives a pretest that is similar to the test, but you have to teach everything to yourself.

Notes are a waste of time and your test score depends on how much the grader felt like giving you. he doesn't teach, just writes down crap.
