Cooper is a great speaker (only wish the class were done later in the day). Be prepared to read 7 books (most are boring) for this class. Really should be called "History of Slavery in America."

Cooper and the class was great. His TA on the other hand was the biggest nerd/suckup and graded very hard. He was extremely picky in his grading. Cooper is kinda boring sometimes but overall he's cool and the class teaches you a lot. Lots of notes.

Good teacher, ok class, be ready to take a lot of notes and study a lot, might not be as hard if your a history major, I wasn't, but overall it wasn't too bad

Professor Cooper is easy to take notes to and tests come straight from the notes. However, can get a little boring.

I absolutely hate history, but still did ok in this class. Essay type tests. Cooper sometimes spoke fast. 3 extra books were part of the course.

The readings are HORRIBLE but the class is really interesting and Dr. Cooper is a great teacher.
