Really interesting, if you're an anthropology major take this as an elective. lots of notes and you to be interested in order to do well.

read the books, her lectures are incoherent, they have no flow to them. she gives a lot of attendance quizzes so make sure to come to class only for that reason

Requires a lot of studying, but isn't that hard to pass. Grades are always generously curved, but test questions are pretty tricky. Material is pretty interesting, too.

Kira is an excellent teacher. She communicates very well and makes lectures interesting. There are only two tests during the semester though, so you have to do well on them. Very good class!

Although sex can be relavant in cultures, she made vague references in class to her husband's "size" during a lecture. Although I am no where near prudish, I found her comments out of line. Sex seemed to come up in every class.

She is not that bad of a teacher, she get very aggravating! She is always talking about California, her family life, and twirling her REALLY long hair into a bun, Constanlty!!!

Taking notes in the class is almost impossible. Read the textbooks and you'll be fine for the two tests (Midterm and Final). Midterm had essay, short answer, MC. Final was just MC. Film quizzes weren't too bad, just be very detailed with them.

She was so unorganized and hard to follow. Taking notes were impossible. This was the hardest class I've taken at LSU. She expects you to read 2 entire books, so you basically teach yourself. Take another teacher!!

Kira is interesting to listen to, but to do well on the tests you actually have to study. She makes it seem easier in class than it will be on the test. I liked her t hough.

Blaidell-Sloan made a class that was suppose to be interesting and easy to understand into a nightmare. Her tests were full of trick questions. Go to class bc she gives attendence quizzes. Film quizzes are ok but she expects them to be very detailed.

Um harder than I expected. You have to study and know your stuff for her exams and you definetly need to go to class. I had so much other stuff it was hard to keep up, but the material is pretty interesting

The lectures aren't very relevant to what's on the exam. You MUST read both books, or you will fail your tests. There's only two tests (midterm and final), but she also takes random in-class attendance quizes and 4 movie quizes. It's hard work,but ok

She is the worst teacher i have ever had at lsu. Her notes make no sense so be ready to read everything your self. Her tests are over 8 chapters with 30 cases studies that you have to know. I never take these postings seriously but run from her!
