He is funny and personable. Those personality traits made the boring material bearable. He gives students every opportunity to raise their grade with study sessions, homeworks, and out of class help. Definitely worth taking for Gen Ed requirement.

Jay is a great teacher, and you really do learn a lot in this class. Go to class, pay attention and go to the homework review sessions and you'll do ok.

The material covered in class is totally irrelevant to the questions on the test! Dr. Grimes is a funny guy, but he is much better suited to being a meteorologist than a teacher. One good thing: A is an 80-100.

I thought this class was going to be a baby class but it was in no way. I had to study a lot more than I anticipated. Do well on the homeworks, they really help out your final grade.

Jay is the best! He can be grumpy, but he is a good teacher. The material is tough & there is a lot of it & it requires STUDYING. Not an easy grade but you learn a lot.

John Grimes is a great teacher although he spends too much time at the overhead looking at pointless maps, his tests are really easy and he doesn't try to trick you.

This could be an interesting class. Grimes just doesnt make it interesting. Be careful not to come in late b/c he will try is hardest to embarass you. his tests are hard and sometimes dont really have much to do with what he teaches us.

Ok if you want to learn geography do not take this class, walk in write down his key terms and leave if you stay for the one hour brain rot you will walk out with less knowledge than you came in with. Bring a pillow or a newspaper to class.

J Grimes is an awful teacher with a horrible attitude towards life with a sense of latent homosexuality brewing from within his scandily clad shorts he always wears. Overall he is an ignorant human being who spells like a second grader.

John Grimes teaches a class that should be easy to follow and understand. However, his tests are too difficult considering we have other classes and world geography isn't everyones prime priority, but his tests didn't reflect that idea.

Professor Grimes didn't have a set outline for lectures, It was hard to follow his notes and the book. He doesn't seem to eager to work with students who are struggling.
