HOUSER K (MUS)

This class is a JOKE! Not kidding. All the tests can be found on noteswap and they are exactly the same as the exams given in class. The only negative thing is you have to learn the music that is required and know the song title and composer. Also you have a written and listening quiz ontop of the exams.

if your looking for an easy A, take houser! her old exams(pretty much the exact same as the new ones) are on noteswap! SO EASY! I never studied, just looked over the exams on noteswap and I made an A! you dont have to go to class, only for the quizes and tests. you can find the notes online.

Houser is a freak. She dresses really weird and makes really stupid jokes at inconvenient times and is generally creepy. The class is a breeze though, and you never have to go except for exams. Notes can be found on noteswap, and old tests which are exactly the same as the tests she gives, are really easy to come by.

One of the easiest classes I've had to take. Unlike other music appreciation teachers, Houser doesn't grade homework/listening exercises on accuracy. Instead, she grades on completion. Exams were pretty straightforward, but the material was one-sided in my opinion. Half the composers that was given more attention to study about had 'dramatic lives' rather than produced significant work. All nick-picking aside, the class was enjoyable.

Easy A. The only bad thing is the mandatory concert attendance - you must go to 3 concerts and the tickets are $12. Don't show up late to the concert (they will let you buy a ticket but wont let you swipe your id for class credit). You dont have to go to class or buy the book. There are easy online assignments (just google find the website to the book). All the notes are online. K.Houser is a sassy lady.

WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD. She's rude, snobby, and I'm not convinced all that intelligent for someone with a docterate. Ridiculous amount of assignments/performances required for a very small percentage of your grade, meaning you have to go, but it counts for hardly anything. Not an easy A, unless you can get the answers to the quizzes/tests before hand, which apparently a lot of people do. Even so, not worth putting up with Houser for a semester. Take art.

She is an AWFUL teacher. Please don't put yourself through her class. Take someone else! You will get NOTHING accomplished. Seriously. Take someone else.

Take Houser! Very sweet/ funny teacher she wants everyone in the class to get an A. must go to class to get the lecture notes though. she lets you turn in assignments late and make up any test if you miss it. EASY A and loved the class

Really sweet lady; material is memorization; interesting but very early!

Go to class!!!! This can be a very easy class if you don't skip and go to the three required concerts. Dr. Houser is very nice as well.
