Arce WISPERS in class. If you don't sit in the first three rows you will have a very difficult time in his class. The material he covers is somewhat unrelated to comparative politics. If you sit close enough this will be an easy class.

You definitely need to buy the book. Don't take Dr. Arce, he seems like a great guy, but is a really horrible lecturer, makes it extremely boring and says "um" at least 5 times in every sentence.

He is very knowledge about the subject but has no idea how to realy the info to students. READ THE BOOK! He is very hard to underdstand...he speaks quietly with the lights off. not a fun class!

While Arce is difficult to unerstand at times, he is still a very nice professor who is always willing to help outside of class. You do have to study hard for the exams, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

This man is completely unreasonable and may be suffering from a power-trip. He is insanely boring to listen to. Worst of all are his exams, prepare to know a 500 pg. book, and ten 30 page articles detail 4 detail. Avg grade @ midterms <50%

This is the most boring class I've ever taken. It's all power point presentation, he talks softly with the lights off. He repeats himself and wastes time, and grades hard. I dread going.
