I loved the contest of this course. This is a challenging course, I had to study a lot, but the material was interesting and Erickson was challenging and made it fun.

Teaches the class like a talk show host so in a odd way acts like a celebrity; tests are 50 random questions from 3 chapters, instead of questions about big issues they are about the silliest of things. Very frustrating. Er

A lot of people talk bad about erickson, but i thought she was good. She has a great personality..test are easy if you go to class. If you have questions or a proble, dont talk to her - talk to the TAs. If you have to take it, shes not that bad.

i worked really hard to get my grade. you have to go to every single class if you want an A. tests are very comprehensive. her lectures aren't thorough. you have to spend a lot of outside of class time to prepare for her tests.

Her test are pretty much beast mode, but they are not impossible! It was pretty much all book material so just make sure you spend time with the book and look at the study guide she gives you about what to know from the book

Emily was not clear at all what was on the test and she seemed more concerned about her bell curve then the students actually retaining the information. Her lectures were unclear and unorganized. DON'T TAKE HER!!!!

she is a horrible teacher.. she teaches this class like its for majors when its just an intro... the test are so tricky that you think you are doing good but fail... she does curve, but it doesnt even help.. she is roud too..

My class was huge which resulted in a big curve for each test... which were easy enough to begin with. Read your notes and sometimes the chapter.

She's a little quirky but pretty funny. She wants you to go through her TAs though & not bother her. The tests were way too picky & the study guides didn't help much. You might as well memorize the book & lecture if you want an A.

Awesome, young and down to earth teacher. If you have to take this class then take it with her. The material is very interesting at times and then very boring at times. Test are not just based on her lectures, make sure you read all the chapters.

By far the worst teacher at LSU. She cant teach at all and does not know how to make tests. She gives terrible curves and shows complete disrepect for her students. Don't ask her anything because she will say "Life is not fair".Avoid this nutcase.

I dropped this halfway through the semester, but I wouldn't recommend Erickson. Lots of assignments, tests were essay and if you're like me and don't like outspoken liberals, you're not going to like her. I've heard Freeman is a lot better.

The class itself is great, but they made the test cumputerized which was hard. Curves test about 10 points but most people make 60's on the test b4 the curve.

She wasn't that bad, but her exams were just ridiculous for a 2000 level elective. Way too much time needed for the grade you'll receive. On the plus side, she gives quite a bit of bonus. Still though, take someone else.

Emily was a great teacher. She gave us current cases and examples to study. Very fair teacher and the class was an open discussion. grades from two written exams, in class quizzes, take-home cases and participation.

she is AWESOME...however, be ready to work. this class requires a lot of time and there is only a mid-term and a final....so don't screw up on either of these all-essay, extremely hard tests. i loved going to class, though....she's hilarious!
