HARHAD A (MATH)

Harhad is very knowledgeable and a great teacher, but you definitely have to work for an A. Homework problems are sometimes incorporated in his exams, but overall, the exams are more difficult than they need to be. There were few curves of ~2 pts, which doesn't make much of a difference. Even though he said he wouldn't curve any grades at the end, he bumped up my B to an A so maybe he'll do the same for you.

Material isn't very difficult except maybe for vector spaces because they're a bit abstract. You don't need to go to class if you can teach yourself but make sure you know when the tests are because he doesn't follow the dates on the syllabus. Don't waste time on the tests because you don't have much time. That was my biggest problem. You'll need the book for homework. They're usually only about 4 problems per section but they always seemed to take a while.

Dr. Harhad makes you work hard for an A, but you learn alot. Doesn't curve much, about two points for each test. There are 5 tests and no graded homework, the homework helped to prepare for exams.

5 tests and the final are your only grades. He drops a test at the end of the semester and replaces your lowest with your exam. He's a very nice and smart man, but there are easier professors out there!

Really smart guy, and good professor. Very fast pased class, you can do it though if your willing to study. Most learning is done in the lab. 5 hrs a week. BUY A TI-30XS MULTIVIEW CALCULATOR! You will know why when you get it and use it.

Harhad is a great teacher if you actually want to know the material when you leave.

There's NO way I could have pulled off a C without Harhad, he's SO lenient with his grading. I didn't take calc in high school, knew nothing about it. Took it in college, still know nothing about it. I just HATE calculus, I think it's pointless =]

It's MUCH better to take 1023 instead of 1021 AND 1022. Hardhad is BY FAR the best teacher for 1023, LOVED him. Math lab 5 hours a week sucks but it's managable. Just take Harhad!

He's nice, but his tests are naughty. If you want to keep a D avg. w/o any calc background, here's your chance.

Harhad was an awesome guy, I loved his class; his accent needed some work but he actually cares if you're learning (the computer testing and quizzes aren't his fault, give him a break).

Harhad is the best calc prof. ever! He will help you out whenever, he goes over homework, his tests rock, and he gives great reviews!! Take him and take calc 1550.

If you take 1550, take Harhad--He is really funny, easy to understand; he cares alot about all of his students, and he gives great test prep.

Dr. Harhad is a very good teacher, if you dont understand something he'll break it down all the way to simple algebra unlike most teachers who expect you to know that. His tests come straight from the homework.

Harhad is a great teacher, works hard to make sure your understand everything. Made calculus easy for me. Be prepared to do homework if you want to do well on test.

Harhad is a great man - he is very good at explaining math- English isnt his first language so he explains things very simply and doesnt try to blow you away with some huge vocabulary - 2 pt curve on every test but huge curve after final - great man!

Harhad has an accent but its not hard to understand, he cares about his students and will go over all the homework and tests.

Harhad was really cool. He explained everything clearly and always answered questions. Tests were hard but the same stuff as hmwk.

He can not explain math well but he gives great test reviews and solves all the homework problems in class.

Harhad is such a nice man, and he's always there to help. But his tests are like nothing you've ever seen before.

Even though he has a thick accent, he takes about a hour for every problem, so don't worry about falling behind. If you took trig in high school like I did you'll be fine - I never went to class and barely studied. It's easy, he never gives quizzes.

In class he teaches you two plus two is four. But on the test he asks what is the square root of one thousand eight hundred in three. The test questions are extremely hard. I went to tuturing. You must know everything for an A

He can be difficult to follow but really wants you to understand it. Class is more interesting than other maths because of all of the practical applications.
