Dr. Smith was one of the best professors I have had at LSU! He is so nice and makes class very entertaining! You don't have to study for the tests until one or two nights before. If you get the old tests from previous semesters you won't have a tough time with this class. I ended up with a high B in the class after the final exam, but Dr. Smith was really nice and rounded my grade up to an A! He is AWESOME!!!

Smith is a great teacher. He is very nice and sometimes too nice. GO TO CLASS. His lectures are very informative once you get past the basic stuff like punett squares and such. His tests are very reasonable but you do have to prepare for them. Be careful of what the questions ask you and what the answer choices are. They are sometimes tricky. He drops an exam and a quiz which is beneficial. The exams are very fair. The quizzes are designed by the T.A.s and are usually directly from the homework. Do the Homework, its an easy 30 points. If you go to class everyday, the clicker can be very beneficial as it determines extra credit in the end. It takes some work, but an A is possible in this course.

John McVay was my TA. His quizzes are probably the hardest out of the TAs.
Smith was interesting, and he could teach. He's a cool guy, and he's helpful during office hrs. He really doesn't like it when you show up and get your friend to do the clicker questions for you. Once he counted the number of ppl in class and compared that to the clicker response.
The tests weren't that bad, but you have to know the notes.

Smith is THE MAN! Relatively young guy, keeps lectures interesting and fun, even throws in a few good jokes every now and then. Go to class to fill in blanks on PowerPoints posted on Moodle, tests come directly from them. Homework/Quizzes given in "Lab" about every 3 weeks. Easiest Genetics teacher, and one of best teachers I've had.
