Rick is the best professor at LSU. Take as many of his classes you can while you can, because professors like him do not stay at schools like these for long.

R. Blackwood is an AMAZING professor. Very interesting class, although a bit time consuming. He wants his students to do well in the class, and is very willing to help out [lots of extra credit chances]. Do the readings, go to class, & you'll be ok.

Great class -- amount of work is crazy (one movie every class and readings) but it's very interesting for an English requirement.

This class is very time consuming and never really know what information you need to learn to pass the test and the class. Hard to follow and very very very time consuming!

Blackwood is really smart and teaches you alot but its a 3 hr credit for 7 hrs of class time and 5 hours of homework per week no joke this class should be a 3000 or 4000 level class

Easy A. Didn't watch the movies or read the books and still got an A. Rick is an awesome teacher and very respectable. A little full of himself, but if his stories are true, then he has a right to be.

Rick, has a great background in the film industry. He can tell you what to expect and how to go about entering it. Take him if you are seriously considering a career in writing scripts.

Rick Blackwood is like no one you've met before. He has led an interesting life and knows a lot about the Hollywood industry. Sometimes he goes off on tangents, but his stories are interesting and varied. You will learn and have fun in this class.
