I only went to class to take exams and turn in papers. The powerpoints he lectures in class are all online and you just have to memorize them. He grades easy on papers and there's really not much to it. Take him! Easy A!

TAKE THIS CLASS WITH DARIUS. Easiest class I've ever taken, and that includes high school. Went to class only for test days. All you have to do is memorize artwork on powerpoints.

Darius was hilarious. He kind of rambles about the paintings but his voice is so cute, it doesn't even matter. He goes over a lot of stuff and tries to narrow it down for the test, but it is still ends up being a lot. If you are good at memorizing things, this class really shouldn't be that much of a problem for you.

The class was simple and straight foward, but Speith made it extremely boring. However, he did post all notes online and tests came straight from these. Overall it was an easy class.

This guy definately knows his stuff. Don't be fooled by the 2 infront of the course number, this class is pretty easy. The exams have alot of material on them, but it's just memorization and he grades fairly. I never went to class and got an A.

Before this class i literally knew NOTHING about 20th cent. art and still got an A. You don't need to go to class if you keep up with it online, but be prepared for a bitch of a midterm/final! Overall, Spieth's great. Take him if you can!

The tests are a lot of memorization. You have to memorize at least 200 pieces of work (including the artist, where it was painted/built, the date, what is was painted on/constructed out of ) If you have good study habits, take speith.

Class was boring, Speith just showed a powerpoint and read the bullets. 3 Tests and 2 papers, Papers were easy As. Tests require LOTS of memorization of the art, just to answer 20 questions 1st test= rather easy, other 2 =more difficult.

Don't waste your time memorizing everything he goes over. If it's not pictured in the book, it won't be on the tests. Bring some coffee to class too, he turns out the lights. He took attendence, but I dont know why.

if you know a little about art, you can get through the class pretty easily. he posts all the notes online so you dont have to go to class and you dont need to know background info on works for tests

His accent is pretty thick at points, but you can understand him most of the time. He does tend to grade the papers hard ( there are 4), but the midterm and final are easy and he even gives you the essays at the review to study ahead of time.

I really enjoyed what I learned in this class. The weekly articles were uninteresting & hard to read, though. Dr. Speith is very nice & understanding.
