Like someone already said, Dr. Tom is the man.. If you come to class the day before his exams, he gives you the problems on the exams and lets you bring a 3x5 notecard. I took this class with another instructor and got an F. I got an A this time!

SO EASY. Tom's a great teacher and willing to answer questions, so 2090 was the easiest math class I've ever taken, and that includes elementary school.

Tom is the man. Test are VERBATIM from the book (loves red odd problems btw) and he lets you bring a 3x5 to every exam. His tests are easy. Dont know why people complain about his accent, I understood him all the time. Great guy and Easy.Take Him!

Some say that he's hard to understand, but he really isn't. Do all of the homework he assigns because the test questions are from there, verbatim. He lets you bring a notecard. Overall, awesome class.

Dr. Tom is a great instructor, his tests are extremely fair. Do the homework and look over the examples from class and you'll do great.

Easy class. Would've made an A but missed 2 weeks for surgery. Computer tests, quizzes & discussion lab once a week. Go to class, go to the labs for participation [& they help], take the quizzes & practice tests & it's easy.

Business Calc is ridiculous. If they still use the Maple TA system, dont take it! You have to take 23 online quizzes over and over. Tom barely speaks english. If you must take it, dont bother going to the lectures, just go to your weekly lab.

This calss isnt too hard. Its mostly done online so you dont have to go to class. you can take the quizes as many times as you want. Dont expect to go to class and learn bc you cant understand the guy

Either he is easy or all of my friends who took other teachers are very stupid. I got a B with very minimal effort, and I had never taken calculus before. He has an accent, but it's easy to get used to. Very fair and nice.

your grade relies on five test and eight quizes but three of the quizes are dropped so you have to do good on the test

If you have a great background in Geometry, this class will be a breeze. Otherwise, GOOD LUCK! Dr. Tom is a very good teacher, and his tests are very easy. Partial credit helps so much. He has a bit of an accent, but you'll get used to it.

Class seems pretty pointless, little outside use. Michael Tom is a good teacher, hard to understand but tests are pretty easy and he grades well.

Tom is a great teacher, if you do the HW you will have an A, his test come strait from the HW problems out of the book, and if you don't understand something you can go to his office, very friendly and helpful

Excellent teacher, and easy course. I had a strong background in calc. and I basicly just ignored the class the whole semister. Certainly would have been easy to have an A. with minimal effort

He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. People may knock the way he talks, but it really isn't that bad. The best teacher i've had at LSU.
