CRAIG B (LATN)

Mrs. Craig is a wonderful Christian lady and teacher-so sweet and helpful. She is a great teacher as well; you really learn the language down to the specifics. However, she's no pushover on homework; expect a lot of assignments. Definitely do them, though. It's the only way you'll really nail the grammar and specifics of the language. She expects a lot out of you, but in return she really teaches you the language. There was a lot of outside time involved, but if you plan on taking more Latin, you'll be thankful you had Mrs. Craig. The quizzes and the exams were rigorous, but pretty easy to get through if you did your work. Definitely take Mrs. Craig if LSU keeps her as a Latin teacher!! It's a crying shame she was one of the Foreign Language Fourteen, but she's teaching a class in the fall.

Good teacher. I dont like that she calls on people to translate, but a lot of teachers do that. Latin is easy and is mostly memorization. There are quizzes and tests. I ended up not going to class except for the quizzes and tests and was fine. Just translate the story and study vocab and you should be okay. Craig is cool, and will go out of her way to help you.

Great teacher..go to class she likes that..and do your hw..one time i ended up waking up late and missed my quiz..she let me make it up because i never missed a day of class.

Craig is nice and wants you to learn the material. Even though its a dead language, it is not an easy language to learn! I am an A/B student and I dropped this class to save my GPA. Stay far far far away from latin! Take any language but latin!

I love Craig!!! She really makes you understand what the latin says. TAKE HER!

i thought this class was really easy, but most didnt. shes a great teacher and extremely smart. she truly cares about her students learning and shell help if you are willing to put forth an effort. tests were fair. study the translations

Craig is a very nice person, but a horrible teacher! latin is extremely hard and Craig doesn't know how to teach it. she means well but can't teach. just MAKE SURE SHE GETS TO KNOW YOU BECAUSE IT WILL HELP YOU IN THE END!!!

I loved Mrs. Craig. I had over a 100 in this clas. She makes Latin easy to understand.

Mrs. Craig is understanding and a very cool teacher. There is a lot of work required, but that helps so much and it's like that with all foreign languages. Her tests and quizzes are the same format throughout the course. Take her!

Mrs. Craig gives you a lot of quizzes. But use her comments to improve on what you are struggling with. She gives exams in the same format as the final, so she prepares you well for the final format.

Wonderful teacher. It's college, you should be well-versed in English grammar by now--that really helps when it comes to understanding Latin. It requires a lot of work and preparation, which Mrs. Craig appreciates. You will be prepard for the final

Face it - Latin is HARD. And Craig talks at the speed of light and is extremely condescending to anyone who doesn't have an A+ in the class. If at all possible, avoid Latin. And if you must take it, avoid Craig for your own sake. This is NOT easy!

Don't be fooled! This class is so not as easy as the first latin. Plus, they expect you to remember every little vocab word and use them on test. Other than that MEMORIZE EVERYTHING. Craig was nice, she really did a great job. It's just alot of stuff

They push too much info in a short amount of time in Latin II - Craig is okay but she thinks she's everyone's mom

She is a nice lady who will help you and LOVES LATIN!!!! She's nuts about ancient Romans. The class is Latin, so yeah it's hard and not fun, but Ms. Craig is a good teacher if you have to take this class.

This class should not have been this hard. Mrs. Craig seems to think everyone must be a Latin scholar to choose Latin as a foreign language requirement.

Class isn't fun but Mrs. Craig is nice. She will do everything to help you, but her tests are HARD! you have to know your stuff to pass the class.

Nice, but too harsh on grading exam had vocab that we had never seen what's the point , we had 100's of vocab during the long semester why not test on those? Be careful she can be tricky. do not take class for an easy A you could get an easy d or f

All Latin teachers like Craig need to see that people take this course for a requirement not for the LOVE of it!!!!!!

I took French Last Sem and this was much easier, Mrs. Craig is a nice local(from BR) teacher who cares about her students, like all foreign languages however, this class does take study time.
