He wasn't terrible. He lets you have a cheat sheet on the test but only a single piece of paper and how many words you can fit on that one sheet. Don't make an 89.7 final grade because that gets you a B in the class. Even if you got all of the surprise quiz grades.

He says he is hard, especially for bio majors. This is false. Very easy A. He is a funny man. His test are not hard. You can have a cheat sheet for the test! and lowest grade for test is only 10% and other three are 30% each of final grade. he also does extra points on random days. doesn't like if someone leaves early though. Take him!

SOCL in itself is extremely interesting, but Kamo ruins it. He lets you use a "cheat sheet" for the tests, but he puts random questions on the tests that were never in the notes. When I walked into class he said the average grade in the semester before was a 74 and he wanted it to be a 72. If you are looking for a SOCL class, do not take Kamo.

Kamo is cool and entertaining. He will call you out of if he sees you on your phone during class so watch out. He lets you have a cheat sheet for each test which is nice. You do have to work and making a cheat sheet takes a while but its how you study for the tests. He's fair and loves football. I would recommend him!

Dr. Kamo may be hard to understand if you haven't heard people with Japanese accents. The main tips for this class are: GO TO CLASS AND TAKE GOOD NOTES!!!!!!!!!!! The test questions come straight from the notes and examples he gives. I know now that it helps to read the chapters in the book before going to class; it makes it easier to understand the material, and you won't end up reading it at the last minute. I say Dr. Kamo is a good choice for SOCL 2001.

This class was super easy, just beware of random questions on tests, like who is the author of the textbook (What!?). Otherwise, Kamo is relatively easy to understand and gives quizzes for bonus during class. On your cheat sheets, don't just put definitions! Include the examples he uses in class, because those are the test questions.

Overall this class was interesting. Professor Kamo may be hard to understand at times but he is a good teacher. There is a lot of note taking during lectures. The best part is, you are allowed a cheat sheet on ALL exams.

super easy class, and Kamo is a good teacher. Knows what he's talking about and wrote his own textbook. You don't really need the book. And no need to really go to class.. he lets you use a cheat sheet.. and you can find them on noteswap.com :)

Kamo lets you have a "cheat sheet" for test but it doesn't help if you don't know the information. He also give random attendence checks for extra points. He is somewhat hard to understand.

Go to class and take notes. Also read over the chapters once. He knows what hes talking about because he wrote the textbook. Hes pretty funny too. You can get up to about 4 percentage bonus points. Has a japanese accent, but easy to understand.

This is the best class at LSU and a great elective to take. Kamo is hilarious and you don't need to study IF yo go to every class and take down notes you will get an A. If you don't go to class then dont take this class bc you won't do well...

Kamo isn't as bad as people make him out to be, but don't expect to have an easy A. You need to understand the material to do well on the tests. The best way to succeed in this class is to take book notes ahead of time and compare them to lecture.

hahaha Kamo's a crazy man, but I actually LIKE him. You get a cheat sheet for every exam, take a good note (write down every word that comes out of his mouth) and go to class, he'll give you 4 semester points! This class could really be an easy A.

Class was interesting sometimes but it did have its boring moments. You can bring in a "cheat cheet" to every test. However, going to every lecture is the easiest way to get a good grade in this class.

You can barely understand what he is saying. He's kinda funny but his tests are so hard. You get a cheat sheet but that still didn't help. The class average was still a 70%. Does give some extra credit. I studied so hard and managed a C.

Yeah you do get to use a cheat sheet for the test, but you still need to know your shit. Not much effort is necessary. He's hard to understand sometimes, but a good teacher.

Fun and interesting class, but average test scores are like 70%. You can have a cheat sheet for the test, but in order to do well, you have to take excellent notes and put them on your cheat sheet. You get bonus for attendance.

Nice guy. You can have a cheet sheet, but the exams are still pretty tricky. Even with the answers on your cheet sheet, it doens't seem like and of the answers on the test are right. you have to go to class.

Kamo lets you use a "cheat sheet" for every test. You can put whatever you want on an entire piece of paper back and front. His tests were VERY hard though... the cheat sheets saved my life in SOCL!

I was a 4.0 student until I took Into SOCL with him! I missed an A by .35 of a point. He had horrible communication skills, unorganized notes, and boring information.

the test were very different from the material presented in class. he allows cheat sheets, but dont let that fool you! he only does that so that he can make the tests really hard! cheat sheet often doesnt help in answering the questions!

Kamo rocks! This was by far my favorite class as a freshman at LSU. He gave bonus points for attandance and even allowed a cheat sheet. But you must!!!! go to class b/c the test are his notes not the book.

Kamo's test are extremely difficult. I think he makes them tricky on purpose. I came out of a test thinking i made 100% but i ended up getting an 82%.

Kamo is difficult to understand at times (japanese was his first lang). He lets you have a cheat sheet for the test with whatever you want on the front and back. You feel like you do better on the tests than you really do, which sux for a gen. ed.

He gives extra point quizes the class period before a test. His tests have easy questions but tricky answers. Dont bother taking notes, just read the chapter. He allows a "cheat sheet" on the test. He makes your lowest test score worth only 10%.

You get a "cheat sheet" for his tests! Kamo is a good teacher, but don't take the night TV course. It isn't worth your time.

Kamo is a little difficult to understand but he is nice and humorous at times; the material can get boring but it's pretty easy and the tests are easy. You can skip a few classes and be okay. Amt of reading outside of class is not a lot.

he was really easy and if you go to class he gives bonus. also we got a "cheat sheet" for every test to fill out with anything we wanted to use when we took the class. he is interesting also.

Kamo is an alright teacher, he has a lisp though. And he looks as if he's stuck in the 70's or something too. But the good thing is he gives out cheat sheets and you get the bring them to the tests and use them!!!

cheat sheets and 1% extra for certain days you're there. its easy to tell when he'll take attendance. hes hard to understand though. dont really need the book. if you get notes from someone else you'll be ok

kamo has a very strong accent, hard to understand. also has a very bad temper, doesn't like students to walk out and has fits(literally) i would advise you to take another instructor maybe one thats not necessarily bi-polar
