Review #1 / Course: FIN 3717 / Instructor: KIRBY M
Although Kirby certainly knows what he is talking about, the class has very little structure, and it is very trying at times. Kirby sort of just goes over the power points, but these are not really useful in studying for the midterm and final (which you get a helpful cheat sheet for)It is not all Kirby's fault though- most of the problems with the class come from the Finance department's structure that they set up for the class. That being said, there is a significant curve, but you have to study in order to do well. Homework is sometimes helpful, but is for the most part a waste of time. Group projects are annoying because no one really knows what they are doing. Everyone who takes this course is generally lost, so don't feel bad- everyone is in the same boat and everyone can pass if you try.
