NAMIKAS S (GEOG)

Namikas has no personality. However, he does curve your final grade. The only reason I took this class was because I needed a science sequence and I didn't want to have to deal with biology, chemistry or physics. If you HAVE to take a science sequence, take this one. The material wasn't horrible, just a lot of memorizing. He uses scantrons for his tests. Your grade is only the average of 3 tests: 2 regular tests worth 30% each and a cumulative final worth 40%.

I didn't study too much and got a B. Dr. Namikas is very familiar with the material and he will explain it until you understand it. He's a really nice guy

Dr. Namikas was great! Easy A! If you have to take GEOG 2051 then take him. He has review sessions before each test (there are only 3 test). No outside work required.

BORING! BORING! BORING! The tests are pretty straightforward though.. Its an easy B atleast, an A is definitley possible.

He is an easy teacher and wants the students to do well. He's there to help, and will stay after class to help. P.S.(he's not foreign)

The lectures are extremely monotonous. It is hard to keep up as listening to him is like listening to the recording of a boring encyclopedia. He gives you study guides for the exams which help a lot but the class is just too boring.

This is not a hard class at all, just take the notes, but more importantly, know what is on the study guide he hands out & that will do it. He can be a little dry during class which is tough for a T Th class.

I'm not at all interested in science! I took this course for a gen ed requirement. If you love Geography, you'll love Namikas b/c he loves it too. A little studying is needed, but just go to class and take good notes. The tests come str8 from them.

Great teacher. Only teaches the basic information that you need to know for the test. Make sure you go to class and take notes.

eh..should've had an A but hurricane lilly was coming through and wasnt sure if we had school the next day..but other than that the tests were easy..he's weird at times..he and his mullet..but a nice guy and an easy class..

VERY BORING CLASS! But if you have to take it...take Namikas. Even though he is boring as well...he doesn't make the course material too hard. Study for the test.

namikas isnt bad. but i dont like him too much.. i hate the way he talks..he's aggravating. and what i thought would be an easy A class turned out to be not so easy. tests arent too too shabby though..just boring and easy to mess up on.

I tried very hard in this class, but it was so boring. He is boring, he cant help it, he is a boring person I guess. Dont take this, take 2051 with Vaughan.

His lectures are boring and the exams are not easy. If you barely have an A before finals you might as well not study that hard because you are getting a B. The final is the worst one of his tests.

Namikas is a great man.. he gives detailed study guides and makes geog 2051 easy.. final is simple

The class and the proffesor was very boring and the material taught was very vague. He only went over the basics but expected you to know much more for the tests. He does curve but the tests are hard and final is cumulative.

The teacher was boring, and hard to understand. The tests were not objective, just total application

Overall, the class isn't that bad, but I found it to be boring. AND the final is CUMULATIVE!!!
