GUILLOTT B (CSC)

Guillot's not that bad and it's not a difficult class. The biggest problem is Guillott is often very unclear in her instructions on tests, for programs, etc. They can be difficult to follow or she entirely leaves out something she's expecting you to do. She's friendly but can come off as rude. I don't think it's intentional. Don't get the book. All you need for the tests are notes and they're easy and there aren't even that much. She gives plenty of handouts to help with programs. Each of the three tests are 25% and the programs are also 25%. Tests aren't bad, just make sure you know your notes and definitely practice writing programs. Programs aren't too difficult either as long as you don't wait till the night it's due and maybe ask for help if you're stumped. She gave an extra credit program too. Oh and I loved that we got out early much more often than not.

I do not suggest to take Ms. Guillott if you never had any experience in programming. She immediately figured that everyone knew how to and knew all the vocabulary to go along with it. Her class was very boring also and often told us important information on the day of the assignment being due. She was very helpful outside her classroom though, and willing to help in her office hours. But her test were ridiculous!

Be prepared to learn alot on your own...gives examples that are similar to assignments(most of the time at least)...three tests are 75% of grade and the other twenty five is the programs

Guillott can't teach worth a damn, but if you go to class and use her example problems you might be ok. I successfully built every program and understood the concepts, but I still got a B in the class because of her stupid grading style. Avoid her!

Guillot was very hard for me to keep up with. She talks very fast and seems aggrivated when you ask questions or ask for her to repeat something. She expects you to fully understand after one explaination. Goodluck to the ones who have her

Stay away from Guillot, I ignored this website and took her anyway and I regret it horribly. She is a nice lady but she in not a good teacher. Do not take her especially if you have no prior experience in programming. STAY AWAY FROM GUILLOT!!

Avoid Guillott like the plague. The only reason I got the grade I did was because I had prior programming experience. I can't fathom taking Guillott as a beginner- there's a reason she's called the "guillottine."

Good class to take, but Barbara Guillott is the worst teacher in all of LSU. She does not grade fair. There is no way to get an a if you haven

AVOID GUILLOTT AT ALL COSTS!!! Classes have no stucture to them, assignments are pointless, and if you have a small error in the program you might as well have not attempted the program at all (you get a 0) Tests are not returned to study with

Don't take this class if you have no prior programming experience. She finishes explaining concepts and syntax the class before a program is due, giving you little time to ask for help.

Damn, i'm pretty sure this lady is a computer. She speaks a mile a minute. She was pretty hard. Prepare for some hardcore hours of programming.

She show no concern for the students and even refused to talk to me when I asked to talk about her mistake in my GRADES! Like everyone else said she thinks she is always right so no point in checking on what she entered into the gradebook

Guillot has problems. The course is great. I liked the material and worked hard. Only earned a B for it though. She even tests on appendices without teaching or warning. Take another professor. She is out to get you.

Ms.Guillot sabotages her exams, especially the final. She does not teach all material she tests. I have a strong background in CSC & have studied 8 languages to only earn a B. She shared she only earned a 3.0 in college & doesn't allow any higher.

Barbra Guilliot has to be one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She expects everyone to know the material before you even get in the class. Ugh.

Barbara Guillot is an angry woman who takes it to the classroom. She makes the course more difficult. I actually earn 99% out of 100% on the seven projects and still earned a B in her class. She does not teach all material she tests on.

GUILLOTT REALLY GETS ATTITUDE PROBLEM... AND HER GRADING SCALE IS CRAZY, I ONLY GET 1.5 OUT OF 10 POINTS FOR MISSING 2 LITTLE PARTS... AND SHE TOLD ME THAT I GET THE WHOLE PROBLEM WRONG!!!!!!!

Guillot is crazy, she got attitude problem, when i went to her office to ask questions, she just being so mean and i asked her for the correct answer for the homeworks, but she just acted like i'm going to steal her answers!!!!!!!!!

She could not teach. It would be better to teach yourself the material. DONT TAKE HER
