Phonetics is already tricky enough and Buckingham just makes it frustrating. You don't really have to go to class. Make sure you find the reviews on Noteswap to do well on the tests. Curve at the end of the semester.

this guy is literally on cocaine. even if you have zero options left for communications, DO NOT TAKE HIM. you can't even comprehend what the hell he's talking about in class. the material seems easy but then the tests are impossible. just don't do this to yourself!

Buckingham was all over the place in his lectures - hard to follow.. I never took notes. Just read the book and you'll be fine. Exams are easy!

He's really loud and obnoxious but in a good way. His tests are mostly from the lectures so you have to go to class because he doesn't put notes online. He's really nice though, and he'll talk your ear off if you give him the chance.

He doesn't really teach much information and you never really know what he is going to put on his tests. Do the lab quizzes they will save your grade. Go to his office but be prepared to be there for hours listening to him ramble!

Buckingham is a really nice guy BUT he tends to go off on tangets very frequently. The quizzes you have to do outside of class are really easy, do them all & get easy pts.

This class was TERRIBLE. He was SO weird. 3 hours was entirely too long, so I mostly skipped this one. Luckily, his first test and the final were practically the same as the practice test. Do all bonus available.

Buckingham went on and on about irrelevant information. He was never able to stay on track. Too bad this is the only teacher who teaches this class. Good luck!!

Buckingham very smart but boring man. Very easy but interesting class: 3 mulitiple choice exams. go to class only for reviews and get old exams to study. book not necessary, get the lecture guide. he talks the whole time-bring a pillow to class.

Everybody has to take this class. It is the easiest A you will ever make. You can buy copies of the tests and they are identical to the ones he gives to take. It is SOOOOOOOOOO easy.
