Kim's a bit difficult to understand sometimes and may ask weird questions in class and sit around waiting for someone to answer. Best bet is just to read all of the things he assigns, do the short papers, and show up to ever class and it'd be near impossible to get a bad grade in any of his classes.

The material is difficult, but Kim presents it in a clear and concise manner. HE IS BRILLIANT, and by far one of the best profs I have ever had.

Dr. Kim is a very good professor and knows a lot about Eastern Asia. The class is three tests, a long paper, and participation for 20% each. Great class!

Dr. Kim is one of the best teachers at LSU. His test are hard but in does HUGE curve at the end of the semster. Tests are from the lectures so going to class is key. Highly helpful and will go over stuff if you're stuck on something.

Dr. Kim is a great professor, but he expects you to actually try. I learned a lot from his class about China and Japan. The final project will kick your butt if you don't prepare, but if you ask him for help he will do whatever it takes to help you

Enthusiastic, cares about students. Some of the class is drudgery and he still makes it fairly interesting. His accent is fine, you can understand him.

Sometimes you can't understand his notes because he writes them in a big jumble on the board..but, he posts them on paws and he is pretty interesting and knows what he is talking about...go to class and study and its an easy A

Kim is a really enthusiastic but his accent is very strong, so you will spend most of the class trying to figure out what he is saying. 3 essay tests-total 100pts so if you do poorly on one you are screwed! Also, he never posts grades...ever!
