LOWE-ARDOIN L (ACCT)

The teacher, while the only one available to take for this course, does a good job at presenting the material. I enjoyed the class because it is very relevant and useful, and I liked the way Mrs. Letti had the class structured. You will learn a tremendous amount about tax, and the class is not that bad. It is a difficult course because, like most accounting classes, there are a lot of little rules to remember, but it is certainly manageable. To study, I would work the problems in the back of the book a couple of days before the exam. To earn a B is not that hard if you study, earning an A requires a lot of work.

Honestly, if you have to take this hard class, take her. She's a good teacher. But either way it goes, this class is EXTREMELY HARD. No matter who you take it with.

Pretty hard class. Not too bad if you're good at math. Make sure you do your homeworks and read the book to study.

Ardoin is a really good teacher. She taught all her classes early last semester so make sure your willing to get up early before you schedule it. Class attendence isn't manditory but if you want to make an A or a B you have to make the effort to go. Tests are departmental so curves depend on how other classes did as well. Ardoin really teaches well (with powerpoints) and is willing to go over everything until you understand it. 3 tests including a final. 9 quizes (3 of which are dropped, 1 for each period) and 11 or so homeworks (one of which is dropped). Hard material but she makes it better.

Letti is a great teacher. She goes over the material quickly, so if you're not sharp don't take her. She's a "no bullshit" kind of teacher. But does teach the material very well.

it's a hard class, but i like that there was homework and other work besides just test and quizzes. but find a good group because there are group quizzes..

Lowe-Ardoin is a nice lady, and abviously a very good accountant. But with my experience in this class she does not prepare you well for the exams, and her quizzes are ridiculous! Expect to do a lot of outisde work preparing for these test

She is so sweet and will help you with whatever you need. They say you need to buy the book but i used mine maybe twice. Its a tough subject but she makes it easier.

Completely evil seriously do not take!! went to every class and had no idea what was going on because of her. she was way too wrapped up in her business! Take Armentor if you want to survive.

She is very helpful. Her notes follow the book closely. Read thequetsions at the end of each chapter and it helps on the tests.

mrs lowe-ardoin is kool she loves accounting but is kinda of spastic and drinks coffee to make her even more jumpy but the department test are pretty hard and u have to study and READ THE CHAPTERS it helps greatly

Letti was an absolute pleasure to have. Quizzes were rough, but she prepared us well for the tests. Fantasic personality, and a great help in office hours. Take her!

Do the homeworks and practice problems; they really help! Multiple choice questions are tricky, you've got to read.

Letti is a great teacher. She is very passionate about the subject and knows a lot about it so that helps you stay interested in the class. She helps you by giving you notes but you still need to go to class. GREAT TEACHER. take her.

Letti Lowe Ardoin is a great teacher. she has been around the ACCT circle a while and knows what will be on the exams. she finds out as much as possible for the tests, but the tests are killer. The final is like cooking your flesh while it is on you

Best teacher I've had so far; awesome personality that kept us awake at 7:30. Outlines of notes are online so it's ok if you miss every now and then. A few quizzes & homeworks - computer based tests are pretty easy. TAKE HER

She knows what she is talking about. She goes through the material extremely fast in class. Do not get behind. Alot of time required outside the classroom for homework.

Lowe-Ardoin was a horrible teacher that needed to decide whether her business or her students meant more to her. You cannot just choose both and do one half way!!!

More difficult than I expected. Not many pts in the semester so take adv. of them. Tests are RIDICULOUS!

Very important stuff for everyone to know. She's fun and funny, I really enjoyed her as a person. I took it the first time she taught it, so she was just learning how to teach it, but I bet it's excellent now!

Lowe Ardoin is great.. but the departmental tests suck. She gives you chances to bring up your average with take home quizes and 2 departmental cycle projects but if you dont study alot for the tests or go to class don't expect to do very well

I liked ACCT 2001, it was a BREEZE. The test is departmental but Letti Lowe prepares you very well for the test, but is very hard to get in contact outside of class. She never answers e-mails.You should really take her.

Everyone thinks accounting is hard, but its not esp if you take Letti; she breaks things down to its simplest level; If you have her i don't see how you can't get an A

the final was impossible- went from a B to a C just by the final. Letti tries to make it fun, but the material sucks. Its departmental, so she has no control. Had it not been dept. I would have had an A.

Good professor, horrible class, don't take this class unless you are required to. The exams are all departmental, meaning that your teacher has no idea what is really going to be on the exam.

I had to drop and re-take this course, and I can say Lowe-Ardoin is 10x better than Anderson.

This may be the hardest class at LSU. The tests are made by the dept & you have to devote your life to it to pass, but if you must have it to graduate, take Letti, she is really concerned about her students and at least tries to make it interesting.

With the new department head this ACCT 2001 course was HARD, however Letti did her best to give you easy quizzes and prepare you for the test.

i took this as an elective and this class does not make any sense. the teacher was pretty cool though and she's hot for an old lady! ;D

Mrs. Ardoin is one of the best teachers in the department. She has VERY clear notes and is patient unless you completely drag your feet. Great sense of humor, too. Do the assigned problems, and you'll be able to make an A.

TEACHER WAS COOL, SHE HAS A LITTLE ATTITUDE, BUT SHE'S ALRIGHT, THE MATERIAL IS TIME CONSUMING, BUT I THINK MOST OF THE ACCT TEACHERS WANT YOU TO PASS, SO THEY TRY TO COVER EVERYTHING CURING CLASS, SO IT WONT BE UNFAMILIAR ON THE TEST
