KESEL R (GEOG)

This class is horrible. The class average on the tests was an F, but if you stay near the class average, your grade is curved up to about a C. It's next to impossible to take good notes in this class. You can listen and pay attention, but he rambles inarticulately, and it's hard to keep track of what his point is when he gets off on tangents. And the tests.... They're really, really hard, even if you study a lot. I would NOT recommend this class to anybody.

I'm no slacker- I scheduled this course as an easy science, however it consumed my time. The teacher was stubborn and the tests did not reflect the subject matter in class. He gives you a scantron with the number correct (about half of the answers correct is average for the class) No one knows what grade they have until the end of the year! He doesn't use moodle and I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS TEACHER! I also regret showing up to class..

Kesel was a really chill teacher, but his exams were absolutely IMPOSSIBLE. However, the curve was huge. I averaged a 30 on the tests and still got an A in the class.

The tests are absolutely impossible; you'd better go to class every day and read the chapter. Even then, the tests are hard, but he does curve a LOT.

This class is boring and not interesting at all. Kesel's tests are ridiculous! The questions have no relation to the notes; all he does in class is point to pictures and talk about stuff that won't help you understand the information on the test.

Kesel is a interesting old man, quite funny at times but the stuff he puts on the overheads have nothing to do with the material on the test!

Exams are impossible and he grades on a weird curve that you don't know your grade until after the final. I studies a lot, read the book and went to class everyday and the each exam seemed like a foreign language to me.

Kesel is a horrible professor and doesn't take the time to help his students.

Great guy-Bad course! He is very laid back, lets you leave early, but his tests are impossible! He thinks you are prepred and makes you not worry, but even his curves don't help. Nice guy though.

The lectures are impossible to follow and even if you study for HOURS you won't do well on exams because they cover material other than what was in lectures.

This man is one of the most intriguing and intelligent teachers I have ever had. His stories kept me very intrested, especially for a non-geography major, and class always ended early. Study hard for the tests.

I would've rather watched paint dry than put up with that awful class.

Dr. Kesel made me want to switch majors to Geology. He's a well-educated man, and his personal pictures of landforms are awesome. Let's you out early 100% of the time in 90min lectures!

Hard teacher. To make an A or B, you have to read all the chapters and take good notes every lecture. The only good thing was we got out of class 45 minutes early everyday.
